DIY- SShhh....The professional Look in 1/2 the time with Edible Images

I'm about to let you in on something.... Every made a cake at home for a special occasion or just for Sunday dessert?? Well here's how you can take that cake over the top and have you family and friend thinking you had this custom made from some fancy bakery... like dAWN's dELIGHTS (wink wink). Simply bake you cake and then "dirty ice" as some would call it with butter-cream icing. Now as most people know getting butter cream perfectly smooth can be a pain in the... ........wrist ;-) and that's what make this so much fun and  E A S Y!  Simply place sheets of whatever edible image you wish over the butter cream to smooth out and hide imperfections.

This is my prize winning strawberry shortcake, and with edible sugar images, and handmade roses this cake is over the top. So try it today! The images are made from sheets of sugar paper which are easy to handle and taste great!

Cool project to get the kids involved as well. You can order these online at Wilton's or get from your local cake supply store.

 Fun FACT:
Icing Sheets are actually a  layer of icing that bonds with the icing on the cake. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes and prints and can even be customized!!!. They ares are made of sugar, taste great, dont require refrigeration. They are made of  FDA approved dyes and some are even and Kosher.

  3. As the final product looks intimidating, it's great you broke down the "how to."
